Over the past decade, I’ve worked my way through the ranks. From hands-on site work to leading full-blown engineering teams across some of the most high-risk environments out there. I’ve been deep in the guts of industrial machines, physically completing installations in explosive atmospheres, managing inspection crews, designing systems from scratch, and seeing projects through from concept to sign-off.
Mantl-Ex was born from that journey. It’s not some corporate setup, it’s a company built from the ground up, shaped by real-world experience, and powered by a straight-talking, solutions-first mindset
Built on Real Experience Not Just Theory
I’ve developed a broad foundation across mechanical, electrical, and machining disciplines, supported by an HND in engineering and formal UK-based electrical training. This expertise wasn’t gained from just textbooks alone, it was built through years of hands-on work in high-risk environments, where every decision carried real consequences.
What sets me apart is the ability to bridge that hands-on expertise with strategic, high-level management. I’ve led full-scale engineering departments, managed teams of up to 30 specialist engineers, and overseen complex, safety-critical environments. From bespoke PLC-driven machinery to hazardous zoning and ATEX compliance.
I’ve managed annual CAPEX budgets over £5 million, delivered multi-million-pound projects, and helped businesses drive real operational impact. Like pulling off a full-scale FPSO hazardous area inspection campaign while ensuring the seamless execution of additional high-priority tasks, keeping everything safe, compliant, and on track.
This is the kind of experience you don’t find in a textbook, it’s earned in the field, under pressure, getting it right the first time.

I hold nine IECEx units of competency, covering hazardous area classification, inspection, design, and maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems in explosive atmospheres. On top of that, I’ve achieved:
